hag stones

The exploration between body and place is the narrative.  Found materials transformed into new objects, worn on the body, blur the line between ritual and everyday, protection like a talisman and exposure, moving between natural as well as mystical.

Each piece being a response to the location, the body as a vessel for the debris and witch stones.  Found materials are explored in the adornment on the body becoming a form of self-portrait, layered, considered, intimately in constant dialogue with the landscape.

Each object becomes a wearable gesture, shaped by the weathering of the waves, haunted and rooted in the Welsh Coastline.  The tide embedded into the new forms, the work becomes a response to a place and a reflection of the self.
